Suspect Identified in Plainfield Christmas Day Pursuit
Authorities have identified the driver involved in a high‑speed pursuit that reached more than 110 mph on Christmas Day, according to the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies say the chase began when they attempted to stop a stolen Kia near 267 and Stafford Road in Plainfield. The driver refused to pull over and accelerated away, crashing into the back of another vehicle. The impact left the other driver in critical condition. The pursuit continued north into Avon, ultimately ending near E. Main Street and Carr Road. Investigators say the suspect ran from the wrecked vehicle but surrendered shortly afterward. He initially refused to provide his name, but deputies later identified him as 18‑year‑old Eniakin Odutayo.
