Pedestrian Fatally Stuck on 100S in Avon

AVON 9:20pm - County Road 100S was closed in both directions between Raceway Road and Ronald Reagan Parkway after a reported pedestrian was struck.

Emergency responders shut down the roadway while they handled the incident and conducted their investigation. Traffic was diverted away from the area during the response.

At the time of publication, officials had not released information regarding the condition of the pedestrian or how long the road remained closed. Additional details are expected to be provided by authorities.

We have learned from information the Plainfield Police Department released that person struck passed away from their injuries.
