Viewer‑Submitted Video Shows Moments From Avon Standoff

A viewer has shared new video from the standoff on Bridgewater Drive in Avon, providing another look at the police response during the incident. Deputies were called to the home after an 18‑year‑old suspect claimed he was armed and later fired shots from inside the residence.

Rounds struck an armored vehicle and nearby houses. No injuries were reported, and a female inside the home was able to get out safely. Multiple agencies assisted as negotiators worked for several hours to resolve the situation.

The suspect attempted to run from the home and was taken into custody. Charges remain pending.
