Police Searching for Missing Runaway Juvenile

 PLAINFIELD, Ind. — Police in Plainfield are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing runaway juvenile.

According to the Plainfield Police Department, 17-year-old Penelope McGowan was last seen leaving school with her older sister. Investigators say the sister later told officers she dropped Penelope off in the neighborhood where she lives with her father.

Authorities said the last known GPS location from Penelope’s phone showed her traveling southbound on Moon Road just south of U.S. 40 before the phone was believed to have been turned off.

Penelope was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue pants, and a black jacket with fur on the hood. She was also carrying a backpack. She is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds, with red hair and hazel eyes.

Police say Penelope has not made contact with friends or family since being dropped off in the neighborhood. It is currently unknown who she may be traveling with or if she may be in danger.

Anyone with information about her location or who she may be with is asked to call 911.
