Warehouse Fire Draws Large Fire Response in Brownsburg
BROWNSBURG, IN — Fire crews are actively working a warehouse fire in Brownsburg near Archer Drive, prompting a significant emergency response earlier today.
According to initial information, firefighters encountered heavy smoke conditions inside the building upon arrival. To improve visibility and safely attack the fire, crews were required to cut ventilation holes into the roof, allowing smoke and heat to escape. This tactic is commonly used during commercial structure fires to prevent dangerous conditions from worsening inside the building.
Multiple fire units remain on scene as crews continue suppression and overhaul operations. At this time, there have been no confirmed reports of injuries, and the extent of damage to the warehouse has not yet been released.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
This is a developing story. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available from officials.
