INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.  —  Late Sunday night, around 10:30 p.m., reports surfaced of a violent carjacking near the Shell gas station at the corner of US-36 and Country Club Road, along the Marion and Hendricks County line. According to early information, a man was allegedly pistol-whipped during the incident before the suspects fled westbound on US-36 in a black 2007 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck that was taken from the victim. One suspect was described as a Black male, approximately 5’5” tall with black hair. Police units were observed on scene at the Shell station as the situation unfolded. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Police say what was first believed to be a break-in has now been confirmed as a domestic-related shooting near the corner of Girlschool Rd and US-40 on Bailey Dr. IMPD Capt. John Arvin spoke at the scene and said a domestic issue inside the home led to the gunfire, not a break-in as initially reported by witnesses. Multiple people were shot and transported for medical care. Their conditions have not yet been released. Police remain on the scene as the investigation continues.

In the clip, the U‑Haul can be seen traveling the wrong direction on US‑36 in Avon. For safety reasons, officers called off the chase shortly after the wrong‑way driving was observed. Plainfield Ind.  — An industrial fire has been reported at Reeves Rd & Perry Rd involving chemicals.  🚒⚠️ The fire broke out a little after 1am very early Thursday morning.  Plainfield and Avon Fire crews are on scene working to contain the blaze. All employees were evacuated and sent home. No injuries reported.
