Avon, Ind. — A stolen U‑Haul truck sparked a police pursuit Tuesday afternoon after it was taken from the Shell gas station on Main Street in Brownsburg around 1:45 p.m.

According to viewer‑submitted video, the truck was pursued by Brownsburg Police and the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office. In the clip, the U‑Haul can be seen traveling the wrong direction on US‑36 in Avon.

For safety reasons, officers called off the chase shortly after the wrong‑way driving was observed.

The video also briefly shows photos of the suspect at the gas station where the truck was stolen.
