Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes Lanes on US-36 in Avon

AVON, Ind. — Emergency crews are on the scene of a serious multi-vehicle crash involving four to five cars on US-36 (Rockville Road) near Shelton Drive, directly across from the Avon Walmart.

According to early reports, multiple ambulances were dispatched to assist those injured in the collision. The exact number of people transported has not yet been confirmed.

Police have closed one lane in both directions while emergency responders work to clear the roadway and tend to the victims. Drivers in the area should expect delays and are urged to avoid the area if possible.
