Avon Police Pursuit Ends in Crash at 10th St & Belmont Ave in Indianapolis

  AVON, IN — An Avon Police pursuit that began around 6:30 p.m. Sunday in Avon ended in Indianapolis after the suspect crashed near 10th Street and Belmont Avenue. The pursuit began near the intersection of Glenbrooke Lane and U.S. 36 after an Avon Police officer attempted to stop a white Dodge Charger for speeding. Instead of stopping, the driver fled, leading officers into Marion County. During the pursuit, the suspect reached speeds of up to 95 mph before the chase came to an end with a crash near 10th Street and Belmont Avenue in Indianapolis. The suspect was taken into custody following the crash and transported to Eskenazi Hospital. The initial reason for the traffic stop was reported to be speeding. Additional information, including the suspect's identity and any charges, has not yet been released.

Brownsburg Chase Ends in Crash and Standoff, Suspect Taken Into Custody

  Brownsburg, IN — A late night police pursuit in Brownsburg ended with a crash and brief standoff before a suspect was taken into custody without violence. Jesus Rangel-Campos led Brownsburg Police on a high speed chase around 10:30 PM after failing to pull over. The pursuit came to an end near the Auburn Ridge neighborhood in the area of Tilden Drive and County Road 575 East when the suspect crashed his vehicle into a field. Following the crash, Campos remained inside the vehicle and refused to exit, leading to a short standoff. Viewer video from the scene shows officers giving commands over a loudspeaker while holding the suspect at gunpoint. Campos was eventually taken into custody without further incident. He is now facing multiple charges, including felony resisting, reckless driving, and operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license, along with additional traffic related offenses. Pursuit Ends in Pittsboro After Spike Strips Disable Suspect Vehicle

  Brownsburg, IN — Two viewer-submitted videos show the aftermath of a police chase that began in Brownsburg and ended in Pittsboro after the suspect vehicle was disabled with spike strips. Around 9:00pm Wednesday evening, a female suspect fled from Brownsburg officers for an unknown reason in a Chevy Malibu. The suspect traveled southbound on Green Street before heading westbound on US-136. Speeds during the pursuit remained relatively low, around 45 mph. Officers in Pittsboro positioned ahead of the suspect successfully deployed spike strips, which the vehicle struck. The suspect then continued northbound on North County Road 475 East before crashing near the entrance of the Jefferson Park neighborhood. The suspect was taken into custody at gunpoint. Authorities have not released additional details at this time, including the reason for the initial pursuit or whether any injuries were reported.

Three in Custody After Avon Police Chase Ends Near U.S. 36 Costco

Avon, IN — A police chase came to an end Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. near the Costco gas station along U.S. 36. During the pursuit, the driver and two other occupants bailed out of the vehicle and fled on foot. The driver ran across U.S. 36 before being taken into custody by officers near Andy Mohr Toyota. The two additional occupants were apprehended shortly after at the Costco gas station. Multiple viewers reported that at one point during the chase, the vehicle was traveling the wrong way on U.S. 36. No injuries have been reported at this time, and further details have not yet been released.

Multi-Agency Manhunt in Avon After High-Speed Police Chase

  Avon, IN — A traffic stop early Saturday morning around 6:30 a.m. escalated into a high-speed chase and a large-scale manhunt involving multiple law enforcement agencies. The incident began near US-36 and Satori Parkway when a Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office deputy initiated a stop on a driver and observed a firearm in the individual’s lap. The driver then rolled up the window, prompting the deputy to request additional units. The suspect fled the scene, leading officers on a pursuit that reached speeds exceeding 100 mph. During the chase, officers deployed stop sticks near Dan Jones Road and US-36, which punctured one of the vehicle’s tires. Despite the damage, the suspect continued fleeing for a period of time. Video Credit Brittany Murr Avon, Ind. — A stolen U‑Haul truck sparked a police pursuit Tuesday afternoon after it was taken from the Shell gas station on Main Street in Brownsburg around 1:45 p.m. According to viewer‑submitted video, the truck was pursued by Brownsburg Police and the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office. In the clip, the U‑Haul can be seen traveling the wrong direction on US‑36 in Avon. For safety reasons, officers called off the chase shortly after the wrong‑way driving was observed.
