  Danville, IN — A traffic stop in Danville early Thursday morning led to the arrest of a Georgia woman on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges. According to the Danville Police Department, an officer stopped a red Ford Focus around 1:50 a.m. near Mackey Road after observing multiple traffic violations, including the vehicle crossing left of center several times. The driver was identified as 42 year old Jennifer Dixon of Barnesville, Georgia. During the investigation, officers learned Dixon was on probation and became concerned she may have been concealing contraband. Police say Dixon consented to a search of the vehicle, during which officers observed what appeared to be plastic bags inside her mouth. Officers ordered Dixon to spit out the items, but police say she instead attempted to destroy the evidence by chewing and swallowing the bags. Danville, IN — A Danville man was arrested Tuesday after police responded to reports of 10 to 12 dogs running loose in the area of N. Cross St. and W. Columbia St., eventually discovering severe conditions inside the residence where the animals were being kept. The updated information was provided by Nate Lien, Detective Sergeant with the Danville Police Department. Dogs Escape From Home Police said officers were dispatched around 3:08 p.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of numerous dogs running loose in the roadway. Upon arrival, officers found multiple dogs throughout the area. Neighbors told police the dogs belonged to a residence at 213 N. Cross St. and believed additional dogs were still inside. Officers discovered a large hole on the south side of the home that appeared to be an exit point for the animals. DANVILLE, IN — Westbound US 36 was closed Monday afternoon near the Danville Police Department at College Hill after an oversized commercial vehicle hauling a load weighing more than 310,000 pounds became disabled in the roadway. According to the Danville Police Department, the semi suffered a mechanical failure involving a broken component, leaving it unable to move. Because of the size and weight of the load, the truck could not be removed using a standard tow truck, prompting the response of a specialized heavy duty towing and recovery company. Recovery crews arrived on scene during the afternoon and worked to develop a plan to move the semi and its load to a safe location off the roadway. Police said that once the truck was successfully relocated, US 36 would fully reopen to traffic.   Danville, IN — A Danville resident is asking for the public's help identifying a woman who allegedly stole a decorative solar powered hot air balloon from their property yesterday morning at the Crosswinds at Tradition Lane Apartments . According to the homeowner, the incident happened around 2:32 a.m. Wednesday and has been reported to the Danville Police Department. The homeowner says they plan to pursue criminal charges if the woman is identified. Surveillance images provided by the homeowner appear to show a woman walking onto the property before allegedly taking the decorative balloon and leaving the area. Anyone who recognizes the woman or has information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Danville Police Department. Information can also be shared with the homeowner so it can be forwarded to investigators. At this time, no arrests have been announced, and the investigation remains ongoing.

At approximately 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, the Danville Police Department responded to a report of a possible home invasion in progress on Bedford Drive. Based on the initial information received, officers responded with urgency and residents reported seeing the entire Penrose neighborhood temporarily blocked off as police searched for possible suspects. According to neighbors, officers remained in the area for roughly two hours and used department drones while searching the neighborhood. At the time, a BearCat armored vehicle had been deployed and fire crews were staged nearby as the response quickly expanded.   Danville, IN — A suspect taken into custody after a police incident in a residential neighborhood is now facing multiple charges after initially refusing to comply with officers. Danville Police were dispatched to a residence in the Penrose neighborhood around 1:30 p.m. following reports of a Black male, approximately 20–30 years old, waving a firearm in a backyard. Officers arrived quickly and set up a perimeter, giving commands to the suspect at gunpoint while securing the area. The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department assisted with traffic control as the situation unfolded. The suspect eventually surrendered and was taken into custody. The suspect has been identified as Goodness Oduwale . He has been charged with felony criminal recklessness and resisting law enforcement. The weapon involved was later determined to be a pellet revolver rather than a traditional firearm. Oduwale is currently being held without bail at the Hendricks County Jail .

Kaiden Parker Rozens was last seen around 12:30 a.m. on April 11, 2026, in the 190 block of West Broadway Street in Danville. He is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and approximately 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a gray Puma hoodie black jeans with neon patches and white Nike Air Force shoes. Danville, IN — Danville Police were dispatched around 11 a.m. this morning to Edwards Equipment Co, 1375 E Main St, for a report of a fight in progress involving multiple individuals. Upon arrival, officers located an employee suffering from serious head injuries. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Gregory Bembenek was identified by police as the primary suspect in the incident. He was taken into custody and booked into the Hendricks County Jail on two felony charges. He is being held without bail. 

 Avon, IN — A suspect was taken into custody following a hit-and-run crash reported just after noon Wednesday at the intersection of US-36 and South County Road 300 East. According to authorities, Danville Police were dispatched to the area for a reported hit-and-run accident. While officers were en route, the reporting party was able to follow the suspect vehicle after the crash and continued to provide information on its whereabouts. The suspect vehicle was ultimately tracked to the Avon Kroger parking lot, where officers arrived shortly after. Danville officers, with assistance from the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office, took the suspect into custody at the scene. Danville, IN — A Danville Police Department Merit Board official has been arrested following a Friday afternoon crash in town. Authorities say the crash occurred around 5:18 p.m. near East Main Street and Stratford Avenue and involved two vehicles. The incident was first reported on our scanner page, Hendricks County Scanner Alerts , around 6:00 p.m., prompting attention to the scene. Due to the involvement of a member of the Danville Police Department’s Merit Board, the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department conducted the investigation. Dennis Wynn, 55, who serves as vice president of the Merit Board, was taken into custody and booked into the Hendricks County Jail. He is facing preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, as well as operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of .15 or higher. The case remains under investigation, and all charges are preliminary at this time.

  Danville, Indiana — Firefighters responded Friday morning to a fire at a senior living complex in Danville, prompting a response focused on suppressing the fire and evacuating residents. The fire was reported at approximately 10:45 a.m. at a senior living complex located at 1570 E Main St in Danville . According to fire operations radio traffic, crews responded to the scene and began coordinating efforts to control the fire while assisting residents out of the building.
