Pedestrian Struck on US-36 Near Meijer Gas Station in Avon
AVON, Ind. — Emergency responders were called to the area of US-36 in front of the Meijer gas station earlier today after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
Avon Police and the Avon Fire Department responded to the scene and worked the incident along the busy corridor. Authorities have not released the condition of the pedestrian.
Traffic in the area was affected while responders handled the situation.
The incident comes just days after a separate pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run at US-36 & Bridgeport, renewing safety concerns along one of the town’s busiest roadways.
