Vehicle Strikes Power Pole, Knocks Out Electricity in Plainfield Neighborhood
Plainfield, IN — A single vehicle crash knocked out electricity to part of a Plainfield neighborhood Tuesday evening after a vehicle struck a utility pole.
Emergency crews were dispatched right at 7:00 p.m. to Bradford Road between Foxglove Drive and Liatris Drive following reports of a single vehicle accident.
Avon Fire Department, Avon Police Department, and the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene to assist with the crash and manage traffic while crews worked in the area.
The impact caused significant damage to the utility pole, resulting in a power outage affecting nearby homes. The extent of any injuries has not been released.
Power crews remain in the area repairing the damaged utility pole and power lines as restoration efforts continue. Motorists are encouraged to use caution while traveling through the area as crews complete repairs.
