  Avon, IN — A 40 year old Avon man was arrested Tuesday by the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department after an arrest warrant was issued in connection with a case involving six felony charges. Richard Kimble Skelton Jr. is facing one Level 1 felony count of child molesting, four Level 5 felony counts of child exploitation and one Level 6 felony count of voyeurism. According to booking records, the alleged offenses occurred between November 2023 and May 2024. Court records show the State of Indiana filed the criminal case, an information and a redacted probable cause affidavit on September 15. Two no contact orders were also issued. The court subsequently ordered an arrest warrant to be issued for Skelton with no bond. The Hendricks County Sheriff's Department was notified of the warrant and the no contact orders, and the court docket shows the warrant was later served. Plainfield, IN — A single vehicle crash knocked out electricity to part of a Plainfield neighborhood Tuesday evening after a vehicle struck a utility pole. Emergency crews were dispatched right at 7:00 p.m. to Bradford Road between Foxglove Drive and Liatris Drive following reports of a single vehicle accident. Avon Fire Department, Avon Police Department, and the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene to assist with the crash and manage traffic while crews worked in the area. The impact caused significant damage to the utility pole, resulting in a power outage affecting nearby homes. The extent of any injuries has not been released. Power crews remain in the area repairing the damaged utility pole and power lines as restoration efforts continue. Motorists are encouraged to use caution while traveling through the area as crews complete repairs.
