Firefighters Rescue Residents from Burning Home in Plainfield

 Plainfield, IN – Fire crews from the Plainfield Fire Territory and Avon Fire Department responded to a working house fire Monday evening near Avon Avenue and Indiana Avenue in Plainfield.

Downed and sparking power lines were reported at the scene as firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control.

Initial reports indicated that occupants were trapped inside the home, but crews were able to safely extract them. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Pizza King in Plainfield , located at 2368 E Main Street , announced it will be offering free 14-inch cheese or one-topping pizzas , along with breadsticks and a family salad , to anyone who presents a valid SNAP card with ID.
