  Avon, IN — Avon and Plainfield fire crews responded to a working apartment fire at the Preserve of Avon apartment complex on Sunday evening after flames were reported coming through the roof of one of the buildings. The fire was dispatched at approximately 7:52 p.m. after a caller reported seeing flames extending through the roof. According to initial dispatch information, the fire is believed to have started in the kitchen of one of the apartment units. As firefighters arrived and worked to bring the fire under control, all apartments within the affected building, along with nearby units, were evacuated as a precaution. No injuries have been reported. The extent of the damage and the cause of the fire have not yet been released. The incident remains under investigation.

 INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — I am on scene at the Covington Square Apartments near Rockville Road and High School Road for a working apartment fire late Monday night. Initial crews arrived to find active fire conditions inside the complex. Several Avon Fire Department units were dispatched to assist with suppression efforts. Firefighters are working to contain the blaze and limit further spread within the building. No information has been released yet regarding injuries or the extent of the damage.

WEST INDIANAPOLIS — A large fire broke out around 3 a.m. Friday at The Park at Greenhill Apartments , located near Rockville Road and I-465 . According to witnesses at the scene, some residents were forced to jump from second-story windows to escape the flames. Emergency crews confirmed that while there were no fatalities , four individuals were transported to the hospital with injuries. Firefighters worked through the early morning hours to bring the blaze under control. The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
