Multiple Injured in Serious Three Vehicle Crash on US 36 near Avon Town Hall

 Avon, IN — Emergency crews responded to a serious multi vehicle crash on US 36 near the Avon Town Hall and Police Station on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash was first reported just before 4:30 p.m. According to initial reports, three vehicles were involved in the collision. Avon Police and Avon Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and found two individuals trapped inside their vehicles.

Firefighters worked to safely extricate both victims from the wreckage while paramedics treated multiple injured individuals at the scene. It was reported that three people were transported to area hospitals for further treatment.

The severity of the injuries remains unknown at this time.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
