Plainfield Police Seize 216 Pounds of Marijuana on I-70

 PLAINFIELD, Ind. — A traffic stop on Interstate 70 turned into a major drug bust this week after Plainfield Police officers noticed suspicious behavior from a driver.

According to the department, K9 Echo was brought in to assist and quickly alerted to the presence of drugs. A search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 216 pounds of vacuum-sealed marijuana.

Police credited their night shift team and K9 Echo for their quick actions, which led to stopping suspected drug traffickers moving through the area.
