Major Gas Main Rupture Prompts Evacuations on Brookwood Circle in Danville

 A major gas main rupture in Danville’s Clear Creek neighborhood has prompted emergency evacuations late Wednesday afternoon. The incident was reported around 4:15pm, bringing a large response from fire crews and utility teams.

According to officials on scene, all homes on Brookwood Circle are being evacuated out of an abundance of caution. Fire crews have requested the power company to respond and cut electricity to surrounding homes while they work to secure the area and stop the gas leak.

Residents are urged to avoid the neighborhood and follow all instructions from first responders. Safety crews remain actively engaged, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
