Death Investigation Underway at Clover Motel in Plainfield

Plainfield, IN — Plainfield Police have confirmed that a death investigation is underway at the Clover Motel after emergency crews were called to the property Friday afternoon. Plainfield Fire Department was dispatched to the motel at approximately 4:12 p.m. for a report of an unconscious person inside a vehicle in the parking lot. After firefighters arrived, they confirmed the person was deceased. Plainfield Police later confirmed that law enforcement personnel were on scene conducting a death investigation. The Hendricks County Coroner’s Office will determine the cause of death. No information regarding the identity of the deceased person or the circumstances surrounding the death has been released at this time. Police said the investigation remains in its preliminary stages and emphasized that there is currently no public safety concern related to the investigation.

Homeowner Seeks Public's Help Identifying Woman After Reported Theft in Danville

Danville, IN — A Danville resident is asking for the public's help identifying a woman who allegedly stole a decorative solar powered hot air balloon from their property yesterday morning at the Crosswinds at Tradition Lane Apartments . According to the homeowner, the incident happened around 2:32 a.m. Wednesday and has been reported to the Danville Police Department. The homeowner says they plan to pursue criminal charges if the woman is identified. Surveillance images provided by the homeowner appear to show a woman walking onto the property before allegedly taking the decorative balloon and leaving the area. Anyone who recognizes the woman or has information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Danville Police Department. Information can also be shared with the homeowner so it can be forwarded to investigators. At this time, no arrests have been announced, and the investigation remains ongoing.

61-Year-Old Arrested in Plainfield, Charged with Child Solicitation

PLAINFIELD, IN — A felony traffic stop conducted by Plainfield Police on U.S. 40 led to the arrest of a 61-year-old man now facing a child solicitation charge. At approximately 2:30 p.m. , officers conducted a felony traffic stop near U.S. 40 and Vestal Road , where they took Leon Frederick Dobiesz into custody. Dobiesz was later booked into the Hendricks County Jail on a charge of Child Solicitation under Indiana Code 35-42-4-6(c) . Jail records show he is being held on a $25,000 cash bond. Police have not released additional details about the investigation or what led to the traffic stop. Court records related to the case were not immediately available at the time of publication. Major Multi Vehicle Crash Reported on I-70 Westbound Near State Road 267 in Plainfield

Plainfield, IN — Emergency crews responded to a major multi vehicle crash on I-70 westbound just west of State Road 267 in Plainfield at approximately 5:20 p.m. Saturday . According to early reports from the scene, the crash involves approximately eight vehicles, including four semi trucks . Multiple people have been reported trapped inside their vehicles, with several vehicles reportedly pinned together as firefighters work to reach those inside. Plainfield Fire and additional emergency crews responded to the scene to assist with rescues and patient care. At this time, 11 patients have been reported , though the severity of their injuries has not yet been confirmed.

Entire Cart of Groceries Stolen From Plainfield Aldi; Employee Shares Photos to Raise Community Awareness

Plainfield, IN — An employee at the Plainfield Aldi is hoping to raise awareness after two people stole an entire cart of groceries from the store today. According to the employee, the woman exited the store through the entrance doors to avoid the registers while pushing a cart full of unpaid groceries. Plainfield Police were notified following the incident. The employee shared photos of the individuals, the vehicle they left in, and its license plate in hopes of making the Hendricks County community aware of what occurred.

High School Student in Avon Arrested on Knife Charges

Avon, IN — An 18 year old high school student in Avon was arrested after a knife was reportedly found at a school facility in Avon yesterday. Success Mark Williams, who participates in the OASIS program, was arrested following the incident. According to Avon Community School Corporation, OASIS is a specialized program for students with significant behavioral disabilities that allows students to receive services within their home school district. The district previously described OASIS as a self contained special education program designed to provide opportunities for students who benefit from smaller class sizes and more focused attention from educators. Williams is facing charges of Battery With a Deadly Weapon and Possession of a Knife on School Property. Family of JT Brill Seeking Witnesses Following Fatal Avon Motorcycle Crash

AVON, Ind. — The family of JT Brill is asking for the public's help as they continue searching for answers following the fatal motorcycle crash that occurred at the intersection of Dan Jones Road and County Road 200 North in Avon on the evening of July 1. Emergency crews responded to the crash just before 9:30 p.m. The intersection remained closed for several hours while Avon Police conducted a crash reconstruction investigation. At the time, officials released very few details about the circumstances surrounding the crash. JT Brill , 23, died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. As they continue to search for answers, the family is hoping to hear from anyone who may have been in the area that evening. They are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have information about the events leading up to it to come forward.
