An employee was reportedly suffering from a gunshot wound to the hand and was reported to be awake and breathing after firefighters arrived.   Avon, IN — Avon Police are investigating a road rage shooting that occurred this evening in the area of Ronald Reagan Parkway and County Road 100 South. According to Avon Police Public Information Officer Steven Barton, the occupant of one vehicle discharged a firearm at another involved vehicle during the incident. The initial call came in around 7:30 p.m. A caller reported being shot at by someone driving a black Toyota Camry with no license plates. The vehicle was reported fleeing toward US 40. Plainfield Police later located and stopped the suspect vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody. Avon detectives and officers are continuing to investigate the incident. No additional information about the circumstances leading up to the shooting has been released at this time.

  PLAINFIELD, IN — Plainfield Police have detained a suspect following a reported shooting Monday afternoon near the Target store at 2673 E. Main St. Police were dispatched to the area at approximately 3:12 p.m. after a caller reported that someone fired a single shot at them. The caller was not struck by the gunfire , and no injuries have been reported. The suspect was described as being in their 60s or 70s , wearing an orange shirt , and armed with what was described as a small revolver . The suspect was initially reported to have fled the area in a gray Tesla sedan , traveling westbound toward Perry Crossing . The Plainfield Police Department later confirmed that the suspect was located and detained without further incident . The department declined to comment on any potential charges at this time. Avon Police say officers responded to the apartment complex around 3 p.m. after reports of a person being shot. When officers arrived, they located one individual who had been injured. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Police say what was first believed to be a break-in has now been confirmed as a domestic-related shooting near the corner of Girlschool Rd and US-40 on Bailey Dr. IMPD Capt. John Arvin spoke at the scene and said a domestic issue inside the home led to the gunfire, not a break-in as initially reported by witnesses. Multiple people were shot and transported for medical care. Their conditions have not yet been released. Police remain on the scene as the investigation continues.
