8-Month-Old Black Bull Missing After Getting Loose Near Pittsboro

 Pittsboro, IN — An 8-month-old black bull is missing after jumping a fence and getting loose near Pittsboro Thursday night.

The bull was first reported loose around 8:40 p.m. Thursday in the area of US 136, prompting a response from Pittsboro Police. The owners attempted to locate and wrangle the animal Thursday night but were unable to find him.

A family member of the owners said the bull is an 8-month-old black male calf with no tags. He is described as very skittish and scared of people and is unlikely to approach anyone he does not know.

The search for the bull continued into Friday. After being loose overnight, he may have traveled beyond the area where he was initially spotted, although the family believes he could remain somewhere in the general area.

Residents around Pittsboro and the surrounding area are encouraged to keep an eye out for the animal. Because of his skittish behavior, anyone who sees him should avoid chasing or attempting to approach him.
