Lightning Strike Suspected in Early Morning Residential Fire on Southernwood Way

 Indianapolis, IN — Crews from Plainfield Fire Territory, Avon Fire Department, and Wayne Township Fire Department were called to a residential fire on Southernwood Way just after 1 a.m.

Initial reports indicate the fire may have been caused by a lightning strike during overnight storms.

This marks the second lightning-related incident reported on the street this year, with a previous strike occurring on February 19. No additional details on damage or injuries have been released at this time.
