Law Enforcement to Conduct Active Shooter Training at Bethesda Christian School

BROWNSBURG, IN — Bethesda Christian School will host an active shooter training exercise on March 3 and March 4 from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. each evening. The training will involve law enforcement personnel conducting live scenario exercises on the school campus.

Community members may notice an increased presence of law enforcement vehicles, emergency lights, and activity around the campus during the training hours. Officials emphasize that this is a planned training exercise and there is no cause for alarm.

The training is designed to help law enforcement agencies prepare for emergency situations and strengthen coordination between first responders. Exercises like these allow officers to practice response strategies in realistic environments, helping improve preparedness and response times if a real emergency were to occur.

For safety and security reasons, the public will not be permitted on campus during the training hours. Residents and community members are asked to avoid the area while the exercises are taking place so officers can conduct the training safely and effectively.

Active shooter response training has become a critical part of modern law enforcement preparedness. By conducting these exercises in real-world locations such as schools, officers are able to better familiarize themselves with building layouts and potential response challenges.

Local officials appreciate the community’s understanding as agencies work together to ensure the safety and preparedness of both law enforcement and the community.
