Plainfield Fire Rescues Trapped Driver After Two-Vehicle Crash
PLAINFIELD, Ind. — Emergency crews responded to a serious multi-vehicle crash with entrapment at a busy Plainfield intersection early Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 1:15 p.m., Plainfield Fire was dispatched to the intersection of U.S. 40 and State Road 267 for reports of a multi-vehicle accident with a person trapped inside one of the vehicles.
Upon arrival, fire crews confirmed the entrapment and immediately began rescue operations. Firefighters were able to quickly extricate the trapped patient, allowing emergency medical personnel to provide care and transport as needed. The extent of the patient’s injuries has not been released.
Due to the crash and rescue efforts, traffic at the intersection was temporarily impacted. Emergency responders worked efficiently to clear the scene and reopen lanes, minimizing delays at the heavily traveled crossroads.
